Would Dostoyevsky be recognized as a great author if he wrote today? Many of this dark themes while scandalous when he wrote about them or today almost mundane. Separate topic-does anyone actually work in the world of Dostoyevsky? Do they spend hours and hours doing what almost all of us do?

The Passion of the Horse, specifically, in the Rebellion chapter of Bros. K. is the saddest and most disturbing narrative, especially when the author gives us insight into the poor horse's incredulity at the violence thrust upon him. D is one of the Titans of world literature! He was then. He is now. And he will also be as long as people read him.(less)

Jordan Dostoevsky would not be considered YA. That is really just a marketing term anyway. Some of his books can be understood fine by teenagers, I am sure. …moreDostoevsky would not be considered YA. That is really just a marketing term anyway. Some of his books can be understood fine by teenagers, I am sure. And there is little-to-no explicit content in what I have read of his material. There are a lot of deep psychological and philosophical themes, though, that can be better understood by adults.(less)
