2. Because elephants and zoos are cool to kids? Clearly, since she'd never visited a zoo, someone was talking to her about zoos and elephants---and if it was Aiden, that would've raised her anxiety level.
3. Rage, frustration, inability to articulate her fears. Makes total sense to me, as a therapist specializing in pediatric care.(less)

How does the title, "The Unheard", tie back to the book? I can't figure it out.

Unanswered Questions (1)

When was Poppy supposed to have witnessed or overheard some threat by Aidan to Skye? The “odd behavior” doesn’t start until after a weekend with Jason so when was this supposed to have happened? I don’t ever recall a time where Aidan was left alone with Poppy, especially not long enough for poppy to have seen such an intimate and disturbing incident.
