I read it was okay to not read the first book, especially since it seems like the main romance interest (Rip???) isn't even introduced until this second book. Is that true? Could I skip straight to the second one since the first one seems not all that great? Just a heads up, I haven't read any of the books, just the summaries on here. Thanks!
