Why do the character backstory change every book? Carver’s wife Michelle is supposed to be a FBI financial analyst not an attorney. JJ and Jake should only be about 31 given these books are set not very far apart timewise, so why does Jake know Cole for 20 years when Cole is 17 years older than 20something Lily, JJ’s grad student assistant? I like these books but it’s so sloppy.
