It's not necessarily about the erotic scenes, but more about the complexity of relationships, feelings and struggles with social expectations that the characters in the book experience, that I could not have related to as well as a very young girl. Well written - playful, dramatic, suspenseful, surprising. If you enjoy READING; the experience of admiring supreme novel-writing, both the way with words and intrigue - this a book for you.

But of course it's not. It's not really better than The Collector or The Magus. All three of them are so enjoyable, each in its own, uncomparable way.(less)
