I have a newfound interest in psychology & cognition. This book seems interesting, but I am afraid that it might be too heavy of a read for me. Should I start with easier literature in psychology first?

The writing is not overly pedantic but his discussions are a bit verbose sometimes . On the other hand , only 215 pages of the entire 233 pages is actually text . Published in 1971 , when , feminism , civil rights and anti-Vietnam war sentiments were high and all social control was considered bad and Cognitive Behavior Psychology was new . It's a glimpse into psychology's recent past .
