I've read a LOT of WW2 novels... is this one worth getting into? Why do you like it? Does it differ from other novels?

Maridele I just finished this book and like you I have read many WW2 novels. This one is a very different angle and I found it outstanding.

I don't understand the cover photo and how it relates to the story. I know Yona found a red coat but I don't feel this matches the storyline at all. Can someone comment on this please?

I'm also confused about the ending. She was never married nor did she have children in the book. Is there symbolism here that I am missing?

Jenn Are you referring to Yona? She did marry Zus and they had 2 children together.
