Do you mind an entire story taking place in 1968 and 1978? I often wonder how many readers want to follow a story that far in the past, although 'Where the Crawdads Sing' (1952-1970) obviously did well.

Additionally, the crimes and flooding of a city seem improbable today but in the 50's or early 60's it is easier to believe.(less)
