In what way is this book LGBTQ? I noticed it in categories but the summary doesn't seem to match that?

Diana It's a little hard for me to answer this without spoilers but I'll do my best. For one instance, Wendy starts mental health treatments when she return…moreIt's a little hard for me to answer this without spoilers but I'll do my best. For one instance, Wendy starts mental health treatments when she returns from Neverland but because no one believes her, not even her brothers. And during the period of time that this books is based off of she is admitted to an asylum and obviously not voluntarily. There she begins a friendship with another "patient" and they grow attached to one another. The book doesn't mention anything physical but later when Wendy is an adult (and towards the very end of the book) it's apparent that they mean more to each other than just friends. Second, and this is the hard one, the time during Wendy as an adult is post WWI, which obviously Homosexuality is not permitted and considered a mental health issue. So Wendy's life crosses paths with someone whose homosexuality was discovered and in turn they can help each other out and their families reputations won't be tarnished with the arrangement that is made. I hope this helps and doesn't spoil anything. (less)
