So did anyone else order the book after seeing it on the Rachel Maddow show?

Susan A Fieglein Yes. I really liked the book. She was as unbiased as possible although she dislikes Trump & family as much as most rational people do.

Very interested in this, particularly the Cartagena, Colombia scandal that impacted my community in Maryland. I'm curious to know if the book mentions Dan Bongino, the right-wing provocateur who now styles himself as the new Rush Limbaugh. His brother got in trouble for being involved in the scandal, but Dan was a secret service agent too, and he never talks about that case. Does anybody know if he's mentioned?

What is so appealing about this book for Trump haters? I saw the author discuss the book at the 2022 Tucson Festival of Books, an NPR program. She seemed reasonably neutral in her verbal presentation without any of the all too familiar rhetoric of the left.

It also describes how Trump used the Secret Service as a political weapon and his general “don’t give a crap about anyone except me or those who can help me” attitude further damaged the secret service.
The book does give details of other Presidents and their staffs short comings when it came to the Secret Service, but the Trump section was particularly damning. (less)
