Erin Yes! I imagined her as a hybrid of Cher, mostly, with the upbringing and family life of Marie Osmond. Kind of a random combo 😊.

My book club was last night and I never did find a list of questions. So, I wrote my own - sharing here in case anyone find them useful! They're pretty simple, but I was on a time crunch ;)

1. How did you feel about Mary Jane not telling her mother about what was really going on at the Cone’s house? Do you remember the moment when you realized your parents were not perfect?
2. Discuss the Cone’s marriage. Should Richard have picked up on signs earlier that something wasn’t right? Did you pick up on it?

3. What did you think about the Cone’s house?

4. Talk about Mary Jane as the adult figure in the Cone house.

5. Discuss Mary Jane’s relationship with Bonnie and/or Sheba.

6. What did you think about Jimmy and Sheba’s relationship? Were you surprised at the outcome of Jimmy having sex with the neighbor?

The song written by Jimmy didn't have curse words, so she could listen and approve. Perhaps Mrs. Dillard was able to come around-let's hope so since Mary Jane still has 4 more years of living with her folks!(less)
