Anyone know if this is just a rip off of Animal X by Sugimoto Ami?

Other than the fact that there's a gay couple as the main focus and people that can turn into dinosaurs, the plots seem to be completely different. This is the case for a lot of media — oftentimes, one will be accused of ripping off another, such as Hunger Games and Battle Royale, but in fact, they have enough differing aspects to be considered unique. Both works are simply using common fiction tropes (well, dino-shifters aren't that common, all things considered, though nobody owns that concept, and there's certainly no shortage of shapeshifters in fiction.)
Note that I haven't read Animal X, I just skimmed through a TV Tropes page about it. The Animal X dinosaurs are big and scaly, while the Smash & Grab dinosaurs are feathered. Smash & Grab's plot is also largely focused on actual palaeontology.(less)
