The book was a way for Bethany to share her story first hand. The movie is about her story but made more for entertainment purposes. Had the movie been more like the book, then it would have been a documentary. (less)

Some parts she didn't even need to mention. Like how'd she want to avoid her fans. If I was that kid reading I'd be heartbroken! I mean I just read that my role model disliked me. Wouldn't you? She'd also get off topic and it didn't relate to the book at all sometimes.

Can you imagine always having people walking up to you and wanting a picture, an autograph, or just a conversation? Even when you're just trying to relax and eat dinner or watch a movie or hang out with friends? I can definitely see how that could wear on a person, and I appreciated her honesty. It also lets her fans know how to approach her and to remember that she is a person who has a life, a busy one, and she can't spend all of her time with her fans. It doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate them, though.(less)
