I don't understand why the collection is a "trilogy" when there are 6 novels originally written by Frank Herbert. I would have thought this would be a "Dune Collection Vol. 1". What makes the first three unique in the whole of the six?

I'm 14, I've heard that this is good and it seems interesting to me, would I enjoy it or should I wait a few years? Keep in mind I'm not the most mature person so if it's written in a more mature way I'd probably find it boring.
