Cora Mae It's been a minute since I've read this book, but the first novel that came to mind was 'Song for a Whale', which is about a deaf girl and her journey…moreIt's been a minute since I've read this book, but the first novel that came to mind was 'Song for a Whale', which is about a deaf girl and her journey to help a whale, and 'Echo Mountain', a book about a girl and her family during the Great Depression [it has a bit of a magic theme in it, but I've read it at least 2-3 times!!]. Another good book that somewhat fits this story's feeling is 'Those kids from Fawn Creek', another one of my favorites. (less)

Anna is the youngest, right? She's just taller than Edmund in the picture? I kept assuming she was the middle child, but there were different things that made me think she was the youngest (like how Edmund is a year younger than William).
