And in that same scene there's an exchange with Aaron about him being surprised that she's the new vicar. It was a fun twist that challenged me as well because up until that point I assumed Jack was a man too. (less)

Did anyone else notice mistakes in this book? Flo is noted as being both 14 and 15 years at the outset. The book summary states "Jack and his daughter" but Jack is a woman.

Kathleen It also says in the beginning that is no shower in the bathroom. But throughout, they take showers!

Has anyone noticed that editors don’t know the difference between bad and badly? Perfect example in this book - “he was aware that he smelled, badly.” No. That would mean his nose wasn’t working, he couldn’t smell. He smelled bad. The same with “I felt badly” - No. That would mean your fingertips were damaged and you couldn’t feel. You felt bad. Why don’t highly paid editors catch this?
