Many thanks to Mondomolly of 'Lost Classics of Teen Lit: 1939-1989' for her review of this. A couple from Scranton, PA moves into the basement suite. NOTHING, INDEED, DOES HAPPEN HERE, or at least in 119 in 127 pages. Then there's a murder, and the involved surviving party moves away. The end? Yep. :S

The boring boy she isn't interested in is on a float from a plumbing company on a 4th of July parade. Sounds like the murder and background for it is never really explained in the end, either!)(less)
