There was so much to wrap up at the end of the book, and I imagine adding all the details we would like would make the book extremely long. I think because of the fact that they are told that the under-cover agent, was alived but probably would have lasted another 48 hours is to imply they had no issue being brutal with people. Also the fact that they had a crematorium on their property implied the same brutal fact. So, things unfortunately do not look good for the missing brother.(less)
