For those who read The Lost Village as an ARC, did your copy include the author's 2-page Foreword? If so, did you read it before or after the actual novel? I set out to write a traditional review, but I'm now looking at a larger article that tackles the use of an author's foreword and sensitive subjects within fiction.

Vanesa No. There is nothing supernatural or fantastical in the book. I would say it's historical fiction, thriller and it wasn't that scary so maybe not horr…moreNo. There is nothing supernatural or fantastical in the book. I would say it's historical fiction, thriller and it wasn't that scary so maybe not horror either. It was spooky but not scary. But just so you know, for me the ending was really disappointing.
