Hi! It's been about 20 years since I read this and I loved it. I'm a teacher now and want to include it in a high school lit review. Has anyone read it recently enough to remember if there are any inappropriate scenes in it that would make a conservative parent upset? I'm not that worried about language and I don't remember there being anything questionable.Will be re reading shortly but need syllabus now..

There are incidents of extreme violence against the indigenous people. It might give some students nightmares, and others, pause for thought. I'd love to hear if you taught it, after all.(less)
