Robin I am partial to the Beaumont series, probably because I'm half in love with Beau. :-) Actually, I'm not sure why, maybe because I started with this se…moreI am partial to the Beaumont series, probably because I'm half in love with Beau. :-) Actually, I'm not sure why, maybe because I started with this series when it first started and have followed the ups and downs of Beau's life and also love the peripheral characters. I also prefer the Seattle setting. Enjoy the Sheriff Brady series, too, but Beaumont is dearest of my heart. Which ever one you choose, be sure to start at the very beginning.(less)

Haven't read anything by this author before and I'm wondering if it is appropriate for a 14/15 year old. He loves a good Mystery/Crime and loves to read so I'm looking for a good but decent series. Can someone let me know their thoughts?

But, if you are, I thought I'd pass on a bit of info. I'm about 2/3 of the way through Jance's first book in the Joanna Brady series (Desert Heat). There are some pretty strong references to sex and oral sex (not explicit wording, but at least very implicit). As far as violence goes, there are people being hurt and killed, but so far nothing graphically portrayed IMO.(less)
