One, as implied by the movie (which the book was derived from a treatment for), was that there were no bodi…moreCould've had one of at least two meanings. One, as implied by the movie (which the book was derived from a treatment for), was that there were no bodily aliens in physical space at all, but that it was a psychic experience that involved no actual space travel. The other was that there were physical beings in actual space but communicating psychically or physico-psychically by brain manipulation, so "they" could "look" like anything from the subject's experience.(less)
