It's de…moreI know this question is from years ago but in case someone is wondering about this "play of words" too... My edition being the German one, no. It's deliberate. Sinister comes from Latin sinistra and means 'left' and I assume the association to something negative involved (Christian?) superstition, e.g. until the 20th century it was deemed 'improper' to even write with your left hand. In German I think only certain people would get the reference (I studied Latin in HS) but maybe in French the words are closer?(less)
