How did the author come about the eye catching title "Dakiti" for her book?

E.J. Fisch Believe it or not, I came up with it after years of talking to my cats in various weird accents. Dakiti = "the kitty" with a roughly-Jamaican accent. …moreBelieve it or not, I came up with it after years of talking to my cats in various weird accents. Dakiti = "the kitty" with a roughly-Jamaican accent. Several characters and other weird words from the series were inspired by my cats haha! I have since found out that Dakiti is actually a real place (some sort of beach/lagoon in Puerto Rico). Who knew?(less)
