Is watching the series Yes Minister a must before reading this book?

Srinivas Badekila No! The book is much more hilarious than the series (which, surprisingly is well made).

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the Yes Prime Minister series. It was engrossing because the situations were all too real, and we were not so much laughing at the story, but being mocked by the all too real Humphries of the world. What other books in the same vein would you recommend?
