Would you classify this as nonfiction or fiction?

bri ;) Nonfiction, the book is Elizabeth telling her life story. It is an autobiography.

Unanswered Questions (2)

The intro to the book indicates that Elizabeth died penniless, it states “she died in 1907 at the national home for destitute colored women and children”. It’s just so upsetting to learn that she helped the first family so greatly, and yet still was allowed to die without a penny to her name, can this be true?! Maybe Mrs. Lincoln did not share her money (from Congress) because she was mad about the memoir?
