This is so insignificant, but was anyone else bothered by how unrealistic it was that Joan had the time, resources and space to paint ten 10ft tall canvases for her portfolio? Every time some aspect of this was mentioned it took me out of the book because I kept wondering how?! How can she even get them into the back bedroom or to school when she shows her professor?
