Tedaldo finds out in the nick of time and gets the details when he returns to his home town disguised as a monk. He reveals himself, and the innocent guy is released. The town thinks Tedaldo's returned from the dead until the murdered man's identity is discovered. Things settle down and he and his ex quietly resume their affair. (less)
