My first Sue Miller book. Either you love, or hate., I loved it. Which others should I read? Which others are OMG thought provoking? BY the way- I hated "Girl on the Train" it is such the talk of the charts; waste of my vision.

Gillian Monogamy...thought provoking about family relationships but above all... a love story

Toward the end, Jo goes back to a picture of the group leaving the police station and remarks that only she and Eli are not wearing a coat. It seemed like it was important, but I did not get it. Can someone explain?
