Anyone else thinks the author went of the deep end in the end of the book?

The nature of psychedelic experience seems extremely powerful and I'm sure it's hard to resist the idea that they have a profound meaning, but it's pretty hard to test a lot of those claims scientifically. That said, he's entitled to his opinion and it's interesting to see his perspective.
