Therefore, the publisher and/or author purposely delay the release of paperback and electronic versions to extract more money out of eager readers who are unwilling to wait.

I know it's disappointing. Particularly when it happens within a series you're already invested in. My suggestion would be to hold out for the eBook and once you finished this series, remember this situation when you're deciding whether or not to read the next series from the publisher/author.(less)
