Can someone help me understand why you'd poorly rate a book YOU HAVEN'T YET READ? I'm curious.

Looking at the current reviews here, 3 months before release. I can only see a few that are 1 star ratings without reviews and a 2 star, with a review that says the characters aren't developed and there are too many characters!!! Sure if you haven't read the first two books in the series! It's better than some I've seen! I am happy that the people that actually have ARCs are loving it. I haven't read it yet, but I have my ARC right here and I am so excited to get started! Hopefully you like it too!(less)
