I'm watching the series now. Are there any major changes in the book? I would love to read more of the characters, plot, and world, but if it will be similar/exact to the series adaption I feel like there is no real need to read it.

I just watched the SS-GB movie and I just couldn't understand. i have read some comments saying the ending \of the movie and the book are different. So, could you tell me exactly the original ending of it? it might be better..?
