The plot reminds me so much of the 2000 Lasse Hallström movie Chocolat (based on a novel by Joanne Harris) , so at first i thought it was a sequel or something. Can the readers familiar with the movie or the book i mentioned tell me if this book is any different?

Marian Wood Yes, the book is not the same as the movie. Totally different storyline.
