(The one from my chil…moreMy absolute favorite book as a child, too! I happened to find it at a World Market one day not long ago and bought another copy. (The one from my childhood is packed away somewhere.....) Loosely summarizing, a litter of puppies digs under a fence and go out to explore the wide, wide, world. The Poky Little Puppy wanders off from his littermates and explores on his own. When the group realize pudding is being made they go home, but because they were naughty and dug under the fence, they go to bed without any. The Poky Little Puppy shows up later after everyone else is asleep and gets to enjoy the pudding! Similar adventures continues over a couple of days and then the puppies learn how to not be naughty......so they ended up getting dessert. When the Poky Little Puppy finally gets back home, his brothers have eaten all the dessert so he had to go to bed without any. It's the sweetest little story ever!(less)
