Hi, on page 182, Ava mentions "framed paper samples." I cannot remember for the life of me what this references—I've searched through like the whole novel for clues. Can anyone help?

My interpretation was that “Edith’s edits” introduced to the apartment included some wallpaper samples that were put in nice frames as a decorative element. It’s an inexpensive way to have relatively high quality framed art. I have some beautiful Milton & King paper samples framed and matted for the walls at my house. (less)
