Tris Ruby and Ronan are one in the same. I think Ronan may have been pulled out of the water that day or just made his way out but long after Gan had taken…moreRuby and Ronan are one in the same. I think Ronan may have been pulled out of the water that day or just made his way out but long after Gan had taken Bridie. Ronan ended up surviving on his own, becoming the boxer Ruby Doyle only to eventually die in the bar brawl. He wasn't completely ready to pass on yet and stumbled across Bridie, helped her with this and found his own way. As much as he would have loved to stay with Bridie he couldn't do that to her and assured her it was okay to try to lead a little more of a normal life than the nothing he could give her. (less)
