There are, of course, marriages, courting and pregnancy, but they are all clean. I have no problem letting my 13-year-old daughter read these books. The writing style and vocabulary, however, are probably not high-school level. I find older writers, Jane Austen and G.A. Henty, for example, to be more of a high-school caliber.(less)
