It's sex-positive in a myriad of ways - focusing very much on the emotions around making a decision about sex (in any direction) and the social struggles that can go with any sexual decisions in teenage years and/or young adulthood. It would likely depend on the teen/parents comfort level on the subject matter, but I didn't find it too explicit for a teenager by any means.(less)
