1) How did Eli end up in the states?
2) How did he get to the point that he was working for the government?
3) Somehow surviving his incarceration Eli somehow has to rebuild a life for himself and his son. How do you do that when you have nothing?
4) How can someone be so clueless, or naive, time and time again?
5) What if Eli had listened to his wife Esther and made better decisions, would everything have turned out better?
6) This book didn't focus on the suffering but more on the revenge. It also begs to question did Eli fulfill his promise?
