So many really important, real, and strong messages here for young girls. (less)

In a different question, you mentioned that Della is 10 in the US version of the book and 12 in the UK/AU version. Why was the age changed?
Kimberly Bradley The AU editor requested it as being a better fit for them.

What content warnings would you apply to this book? I have anxiety related to abuse and would like to be prepared before going in.
Rishika There are many content warnings, so I’ll list the major ones; Sexual assault, suicide attempt, drinking.

Why allow a ten-year-old to get a tattoo?
Sierra Most likely because the tattoo was symbolic, and was something that would keep Della confident and motivated.
