I’d rate this book 14+. Characters do talk about sex and even birth control in non-explicit ways but (spoiler alert!) the teens decide not to have sex. The romantic scenes don’t move beyond passionate kissing. I’ve put a lot of thought into how to show teens having healthy, natural sex drives but also being able to say no since that’s best for their futures. There is a battle scene with deaths, but nothing terribly gory. There’s also a gunshot wound and one particularly brutal knife wound. Please let me know if you have any questions!(less)
