If you keep in mind this is not Scripture and therefore the character portrayed doesn't represent the embodiment of Christ literally, this will give a reader an opportunity to enjoy the heart-warming, thought-provoking and inspiring nature of this modern parable without becoming too distraught should your particular beliefs or interpretations of Scripture differ from the author's representation. If one disagrees with the main character's actions or attitudes, it should spur one on to know what they believe and why they believe it. This book was an immense blessing to me and I treasure it deeply. (less)
