I work full time and I'm a part time evening law student, two things that are very difficult to manage when you're trying to write books on the side. I also got married last year, so between planning a wedding, and all the other things that comes with trying to manage your life, sometimes I just can't keep up with it. But I do what I can. Strike was a huge struggle for me for a long time. I had really bad writer's block and I was having trouble connecting with my own characters again, so it took some time to warm up to the story. Strike is now 640 pages long, 185k words, and I feel much more confident about it now. The final draft is finished and its currently in the hands of my formatter who should have it back to me in about a week. So the release of Strike will be in the next few weeks. I hope if you decide to read it that you find it was worth the wait. (less)
