This novel was hysterical as well as being well written. As an author whose novels are floating about in never-never land, I am insanely jealous. Will we be seeing more of Pauline?

The thing that cracks me up is that most readers aren't getting that Well Read and Dead is satire. They don't understand that Pauline is looking down her nose at her own ilk. Enough on that. Don't quit on the writing. I had a book, Skins, published in 1993. Then got dumped by agent and editor. Came back again in 2007 with Well Bred and Dead and Well Read and Dead in 2009. Things didn't work out with Harper, but now I have a wonderful new publisher, Severn House, and a totally different novel, The Last Night Out, will be appearing in September. I'm telling you all this because each time things went south, I had to resurrect myself. If it's what you really want, don't quit writing or trying to sell your novels. (less)
