And yes, she wasn't a monarch herself but a consort, which does not mean she didn't have power enough to make harm, which sadly she did. Alexandra was obtuse to a high degree, chose to believe she was right when in fact she was usually wrong, didn't take any time to acquaintance herslef with her adopted country before proposing changes, harm both herself and her family by letting herself by put into an impossible situation, and on top of that, she didn't take a second to be humble enough to learn more about Russia, rather to believe in the autocracy by itself, that might have helped. If you doubt any of this, do read Queen Victoria's thoughts on her, her recommendations and piece of advice given to her, she has brought Alix as almost her own, and was aware about these traits, which Alix herself chose to ignore.(less)
