I've been wanting to try this book, but I have a question first: given that I don't share the author's political views, and since he seems to be quite the activist, does this book get impregnated by those views to the point that I might get annoyed? I don't mind it if it depictures some of his political ideas, but the author's background had me worrying about it being too much of a factor in the book.

Is it Beszel or Besel? Because both spellings cropped up in the Kindle edition I was reading, and sometimes it was spelt Bes el as well. Beszel is the common spelling online. Which is correct?

I've just started this, and find the writing a bit disjointed and hard to follow. It's making it difficult to grasp the basics of the story, or form a proper idea of the setting.. Anyone else encounter this ? Does it work itself out ?
