The constant flashback scenes kept dragging the tension and interest I had in the novel. The beginning was memorable, but the ending not so much.

I don't care how good one man is he is not going to be able to kill an entire special forces team like the bad guy does in this book. Even Rambo didn't take on Special Forces (in the book) - just some local police.

The backstory was fascinating but the present time story was too over the top.(less)
