As a fan of the Recluce series (and admittedly the Corean Chronicles and even Spellsong Cycle) I wonder if I should dive into this series. It seems many reviews are written by readers living in pseudo-writers glass houses, stones and all, so I don't know what to make of it. So if I liked those books, can a reasonable person suggest if I will like these without the typical hail of accusations and fault-finding?
