One of my teaching colleagues is considering purchasing this book as a gift for a student who is graduating from eighth grade this year. Is there anything terribly inappropriate for a reader of that age? (The student moved here from Iran two or three years ago. We have "It Ain't So Awful, Falafel" in our middle school library, but it seems a bit young for this reader.)

Summer Fernandez Larson There is nothing inappropriate in this book. I listened to the audio with my children and was perfectly comfortable.
